Confined Space Rescue Teams

Whatever your needs, we can advise on the most appropriate emergency arrangements and provide you with the service you require.

Every confined space entry requires a degree of emergency planning. Depending upon the complexity and risks posed by the entry, the emergency plan may include something simple, like having an escape breathing apparatus set on hand, or something more involved, like the provision of a full BA standby confined space rescue team.

  • Experienced - Our teams are staffed by industry specialists, operational emergency service personnel and time served experts. Experienced in utilities (gas, electric, water, wastewater and telecoms), food and beverage production, chemical manufacture, construction, facilities management and pharmaceutical, we have the experience to deal with any situation.

  • Competent - Our technicians’ qualifications, experience and technical knowhow far exeeds minimum standards. We are, of course, all qualified to City and Guilds for high risk confined space and rescue, but we don’t stop there. With a range of capabilities to suit all circumstances, we have technicians who are also qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate and Diploma level in health and safety, IRATA, power boat and swift water rescue, a raft of safety passports and many more.

  • Technical understanding - as specialists in confined space working, we pride ourselves on our indepth understanding of, not only the statutory requirements, but also the wide range of hazards, control measures and best practice we come across.

  • Equipped - Our close relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and maintenance providers not only gives Redline Safety access to a huge range of plant and equipment but also an indepth knowledge of the best equipment to use for the different circumstances our teams find themselves in.

  • First aid - With technicians trained to FPOS / FREC (and equivalent) quaifications and equipped with comprehensive first aid / medical equipment (including bleeding control, immobilisation, resuscitation, AED, oxygen and diphoterine) we take being able to deal with a medical emergency as seriously we do a confined space evacuation. EMT’s and paramedics also available.

  • Pro-active - Being able to prevent an incident occurring is far more preferable than dealing with the effects of an incident, so the teams take a pro-active approach during the planning, pre-entry and entry stages of a job. By closely observing an entry taking place, our technicians can ensure that works are carried out safely and in accordance with a planned methodology and reduce the likelihood of an incident occurring.

  • Added value - We know how complicated planning a confined space entry can be, so we are here to help as much as we can. Where required, we can supply, advice during the planning stages, RAMS and emergency arrangements, confined space equipment for your entrants as well as day to day help with the delivery of tool box talks and briefings, gas detector bump testing, equipment checks and record keeping.
